BREAKER Announce Cleveland Show; Reunite With Original Vocalist -
April 1, 2008
|
Legendary Cleveland metallers BREAKER have reunited
with original lead vocalist Jim Hamar.
The group, which released the underground classic "Get
Tough!" album on Auburn Records in 1987, will perform at
this year's Bang Your Head!!! festival, scheduled to take
place June 26-28 in Balingen, Germany. The band will share
the stage with JUDAS PRIEST, QUEENSRŸCHE, SAXON, ICED EARTH
and others. BREAKER will also be one of the feature bands at
the festival's club warm-up show with FIREWIND and
FORBIDDEN.
This will be BREAKER's third trip to Germany, a country
where the band still enjoys a sizeable underground
following. The group has performed at major festivals like
Wacken Open Air and Headbangers Open Air in recent years.
Prior to the Bang Your Head!!! appearance, BREAKER will play
a special "warm-up" concert at the Jigsaw Saloon in
Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday, June 14. Special guests are the
MANIMALS.
Formed in 1982, BREAKER quickly became one of the
top-drawing original metal bands in Cleveland and was the
leader of the city's internationally renowned '80s metal
scene.
BREAKER's current lineup is as follows:
Jim Hamar (vocals)
Don Depew (guitar)
Michael Klein (guitar)
Nick Giannakos (guitar)
Brook Hodges (bass)
Mark Klein (drums)
A new CD will be released to support the live appearances.
